After I am done modifying your system you will have two new channels in your Wii channels:
The first channel is called the “Homebrew channel” : This Channel will allow you to not only play copies of Wii games that have been burned on to blank DVDs and play DVD movies on the system, but you will also be able to install Web browsers to surf the web and install all the old Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Sega, Genisis and Wii ware games (all of the games you would normally purchase from the online store through the Wii Shop Channel) right on to your system via SD memory card for free.
The other channel is the “Wii Flow channel” : This channel allows you to save, load and play Wii games right off of your own external hard drive. To copy a game to your hard drive it is as simple as putting any game in your system and clicking “save to hard drive”. You can save lots of games on the hard drive. (games average around 2 Gb, so a 500 GB hard drive will hold roughly 250 games on it.)
Then just go to the Wii Flow Channel browse through the games you have stored on your hard drive and click load on the game you would like to play.
It is really that easy!
You do need your own SD memory card for me to mod your system that will be dedicated to your Wii system.
(At least 1 Gig SD card or bigger.)
(2 Gig SD cards Retails at about $10.00 @ Walmart)
If you would like to be able to play games off of an external hard drive you must also supply your own hard drive.
(External hard drives usually range between $50.00 to $100.00 dollars depending on the size you buy.)
